Inform Health 2023 roundup

30 January 2024

It might be a little later than most, but here at Inform Health we find ourselves reflecting on the incredible journey we’ve had in the realm of healthcare technology throughout 2023 and thought that a little recap wouldn’t go amiss.

In the post-Covid and ever-evolving landscape of healthcare, 2023 was a year of innovation, resilience, and unwavering commitment to advancing patient care.

Reflecting on the incredible work that’s been achieved.

In the early months of 2023, we proudly welcomed Greater Manchester onto our system, marking the beginning of a new collaboration and completing the North West region of the UK Healthcare network.

Together, we have begun to record important data and measure notable improvements that contribute to reducing the backlog of patients waiting for a diagnostic procedure in the UK.

The numbers add up

In total we have recorded over 40,000 lists on THRIVE in 2023, and with a massive 209,082 procedures completed by the end of December we exceeded the goal of 200,000 procedures per year. This is an enormous increase on the 87,197 procedures recorded in 2022 thanks to our new partnerships with Greater Manchester and with multiple trusts in Lancashire and South Cumbria and Cheshire & Merseyside now completing their first full calendar year on THRIVE.

Tags bring greater clarity

New trusts and alliances aren’t the only thing we added this year. With the introduction of Tags we were able to develop more intricate and detailed reporting, simultaneously allowing us to welcome more disciplines like Bronchoscopy and Cystoscopy onto THRIVE. With many Bronchoscopy and Cystoscopy lists taking place on Endoscopy wards it’s crucial we’re able to see performance across any lists that are sharing valuable resources and time.

Since the introduction of Tags, we’ve recorded 1,132 Bronchoscopy lists and 637 Cystoscopy lists across three regions giving us a much greater understanding of what’s occurring on our Endoscopy wards and just how versatile the NHS truly is.

PRIME for Chemotherapy

We were also given the opportunity to display and demonstrate our new system, PRIME, by going live for an initial trial period followed by an official rollout within the Chemotherapy department at St Helens hospital.

Unlike THRIVE, PRIME is developed to allow for multiple bays or chairs to be recording information in the same room at the same time. With any new project we face a steep learning curve on how we can provide the best service and the most important information, but with over 200 lists recorded so far at a single location we are excited for what the future of PRIME looks like.

2024 and beyond

Looking ahead to the rest of 2024, we’ve never been more excited. With new alliances, trusts and departments on the horizon, we look forward to not only increasing our user base but also strengthening our relationships with our existing clients. As always we have big plans on what we want to introduce into THRIVE and PRIME next, with more to follow in the coming months.

Your insights, feedback, and collaboration have been invaluable to us this year, allowing us to develop our system to greater levels and continually increase productivity within the NHS.

Inform Health remains committed to driving innovation, fostering partnerships, and contributing to the advancement of performance and efficiency.

Let’s see what else we can achieve together.
