Celebrating 13 years of Inform People
It might be obvious from our company name, but what we provide for our customers is Information that is about or for their People. Not just admins, Health and Safety Officers or the Learning and Development teams – but everyone from the Cleaners to the CEO.
We’ve been ‘informing people’ since day one – when we only had a stand-alone application for recording Fire Risk Assessments digitally – and we still do that today, along with millions of other data points.
The daily notifications presented on the Virtual PA are information and tasks for every person in the company – the results of these tasks create insights for the local management team, senior remote management and key decision makers.
You’ve probably heard the adage ‘everything is data’. Well when using an online system that’s very true. Each action is a datapoint; when it’s targeted for the people in your business – it’s not faceless data – it’s the way to stay compliant and safe, to know what’s happening.
What Information options are on Inform People?
These fall into multiple categories, often with overlapping intentions and results.

Collecting – Data
The collection stage is key. It needs to be straightforward, obvious and easy to input. Where we have seen other systems fail is over-complicating collection of data so we have designed our tools to be user-friendly and relevant. Your people see only what they need to and are only asked to complete tasks relevant to them. It is possible to do a lot ‘behind the scenes’ – the platform is powerful and most of the detail is hidden in the databases.
Where it’s about the people, the Profile is paramount – allowing personal information to be stored as attributes which then power the detailed permissions and access foundation of the platform, making sure every individual’s Virtual Personal Assistant provides them with the right information and tasks.
Where it’s about locations, Audits are the focal point for information input. Created to a schedule or ad-hoc when required – a standardised audit form can be created for any checklist. Target certain location features through a detailed Org Structure too, e.g. Lift Audits only for locations with lifts!
Set-up development Pathways where your people can see exactly what is expected of them to complete the next stage of their growth, whether that is an Onboarding process or Step-Up to Management.
Keep it simple at input, get rich data from reporting.
Not only do we provide Inform People tools for businesses within the Retail, Hospitality and Entertainment sectors, but our name is reflected in the products we provide for the NHS too.
By providing straightforward list building and time recording tools (THRIVE and PRIME), we allow in-depth analysis of procedure productivity and keep senior management informed of exactly what is happening in their rooms across regions. Rich data can inspire changes that make everything smoother in the short and long term.
Reporting – Results
Once you have the data, the next key stage is to be able to view it in a meaningful way, with easy to understand graphical representation and overviews. Make the daily role of Management teams easier by giving them digestible oversight so that they can focus on the tasks at hand.
Every module has some form of linked reporting; from the Activity page on an individual person’s Profile, the Search results inside a module, Overview pages and Org Structure views of activity and completion statuses. All the way to the detailed Insights reports reserved for decision makers.
All on-site reports are live at the time you load the page – keeping analysis at your fingertips. Most can also be downloaded for a ‘point-in-time’ record. We also offer bespoke reports to reflect on progress over time and assist in sharing progress with stakeholders.
Automate – Simplify – Record – Reflect – Progress
The first hurdle is to know what needs to be done, then you need to know who should do it. Then, when tasks are assigned automatically by rules on a digital compliance and performance management system like Inform People, you then have the opportunity to reflect on actions taken (or missed) and make changes to procedures to invoke continuous performance improvement.
We want to give you the tools to keep your people informed; from their daily actions to the big changes by decision makers. Make evidence based decisions, manage risk, allocate resources effectively and put people at the heart of it all.
Sharing – Knowledge
Once you have the ‘information’ the next step is using it in a meaningful way – this is where insights become the inspiration for powerful and purposeful change. A fancy report might reflect positively on the past but if no actions are taken – if the information is stuck in a silo – then what is the point of knowing it? Our aim is to allow actions that build toward a better tomorrow.
Through the MSCP module, you can structure up all kinds of written, image and video information, whether it be in the form of online policies or structured learning – all of these allow for an end of course quizzes to check and confirm understanding or feedback surveys to gather opinions.
When it comes down to keeping your people up-to-date with the latest updates, changes, opportunities and core information there is the Knowledge Base and Knowledge Share. You can even provide a calendar of opportunities to your teams through the Events module. Mark their attendance and pass status and host additional learning and enrichment opportunities.
