There are a number of modules specific to communication; either for the whole organisation or to specific groups of people or individuals.
Let’s look at them and what they can achieve:
Via the User Directory, you can find a colleague (for example your manager) and send them a one-to-one message that will appear as a notification on their VPA, and if they have the App then a push notification too. They are simple text-only messages.
Similar to DMs, some modules, such as Events, have built in messaging linked to actions taken within the module – such as application notifications or reminders of upcoming events.
The Virtual PA, as well as being easy to access from any web browser, can also be accessed through our Apple and Android app.
The app also allows for push notifications that can be set to your preferences.
Taking items uploaded in the Knowledge Base and bundling them together into a Knowledge Share allows business communication sent to specific groups of employees. Add questions to confirm understanding and get automatic read receipts in reporting.
All can be used as a form of communication – for education or training purposes or for collecting feedback in a survey.
With a single page for all content (especially helpful for any mobile device access) that incorporates text, images and video, and an optional quiz/survey to follow. These work as a straightforward Learning Management System for any compliance and training but with the choice of types they can also be a way to share information such as company policy.
We can even add a custom banner across the whole platform for urgent messages or quick links to introduction videos.

Inform People works hard with you to define your permissions structure at the outset and adjust it over time as you grow and develop as a company.
Initially, permission profiles take a person’s job title and location and then automatically apply permissions based on this.
This goes for communications too – depending on your permissions profile, you will have access to different module content.
With additional attributes within Profiles, you could even have your people opt into topics of interest or related to other aspects of their qualifications.
